Thanksgiving...

Well Thanksgiving is fast approaching...I will be heading to Portland, Oregon to spend this much anticipated Thanksgiving with my daughter Heather, son in law Paul and grandchildren Dan, Laura, Tess and Brooke...There will be wonderful food...Many games...Some shopping...A new Muppet movie and countless other things to do and be a part of...

Our Thanksgiving dinner will be Family Traditional...Basically always the same dishes because if you change something it is always someones favorite...So it always remains the same and that is just fine with me...It is such a great time to catch up with what everyone is doing...The games are always a must and since everyone is pretty competitive it can be very interesting...The beauty of Portland shines through at Thanksgiving...It is just a wonderful place to be...

I promise to spend more time blogging when I return, this past 4 months has been challenging to say the least, but new and wonderful things are happening and I can't wait to share them with you...

Looking Forward to Fall

Well my favorite time of year is approaching,  yes indeed that would be Fall...I love the Fall for so many reasons...It is a time of new beginnings,  maybe that comes from starting a new school year oh so many years ago.  Everything was fresh and new from your hairdo to your shoes... And you could begin again...What is more exciting than that.  So that is one reason I love the Fall,  I also love the way it smells,  it's earthy with a lovely scent of spice.  The wonderful cool weather,  I can't wait for that, the fact that I look so much better in Fall clothes than I do in summer clothes...Oh and the food...You feel like cooking and baking,  every recipe you read you want to try...Yes,  it really is a glorious time...

Here at Crimson Cottage we are gathering our Fall goodies together and are anxious to put them and place them...We have some wonderful Halloween decorations and with Thanksgiving right behind we have some great little pieces that just might take you right back to your childhood...So come in the first week of September we will be ready for your visit...And I am sure there will be a treat...Or...Two...

Getting Started...

So here we are... the beginning of the Blog

My plan in starting this blog is basically to just chat...To exchange ideas and information.  I will talk a bit about my store, Crimson Cottage, what is new and interesting, things that are coming in and going on...Let's also talk about decorating, organizing, cooking and all things about the home.  What kind of issues are you having that we can chat about?  I will be happy to share ideas and information that I have gathered over the years.  Sometimes we just need, as my friend Laura says, a Brownie Leader to help us along, I will be happy to be your Brownie Leader...And there will be times when you will be doing the leading...I will enjoy that!
